Pak-o-Hind* Yakjahati** Mushairah***

In Urdu language:
*Pak-o-Hind means Pakistan and India

** Yakjahati means solidarity, cohesion, harmony, togetherness, union, unity

*** Mushairah means poetry recitation


INTRODUCTION
Gahwarah-e-Adab was found in 1989 in Karachi, Pakistan. Since then Gahwarah-e-Adab has been working to promote Urdu literature and poetry all over the world. In USA, a branch of Gahwarah-e-Adab was established under the name of Gahwarah-e-Adab USA in the year 2003, and during the last five years, Gahwarah-e-Adab USA has organized several international and domestic poetry recitation events.
These events have been greatly successful in attaining the highest degree of trust among the poetry lovers who believe in Urdu literature as vital part of our culture. Gahwarah-e-Adab USA is committed to promote Urdu literature and poetry to enhance our culture.

Gehwara-e-Adab USA inaugurated the book “Batain Karachi Ki” written by Salman Yunus Communication & Media Cell New York; July 8th 2013: Gehwara-e-Adab USA arranged the inauguration ceremony for the book “Batyein Karachi ki” written by famous writer Mr. Salman Yunus in New York.

The central organizer of MQM USA Junaid Fahmi, Joint organizer Mohammad Arshad Hussain, members of central organizing committee, renowned writers, scholars and the people from different walks of life attended the ceremony. more

Gahwarah-e-Adab Chicago organized a Seminar on History of Marsia and “Mehfil-e- Mushaira” with the cooperation of Pakistan United Parade Committee.

Ghawara-e-Adab Chicago and the Pakistan United Parade Committee, of Greater Chicago organized the historical event, a good number of people and the families attended the program. Asif Saleem, in charge Gehwara-e-Adab Chicago, presented the first part of the program; he invited Ch. Riaz for recitation of Holy Quran and Tariq Fatimee for Naate – Rasool. Gehwarah-e-Adab Atlanta Georgia USA Organized Mushairah

 
At the death anniversary of Baba-e-Urdu Abdul –Haq, Gehwarah-e-Adab Atlanta Georgia USA organized a seminar, mushairah (poetry recitation) and musical tribute to Baba-e-Urdu, at the Hilton hotel.
People from all walks of life of Pakistan and India attended this event. The admission was free and Gehwarah-e-Adab organizers also provided refreshments. The successful program was arranged in three sessions. Talat Alvi in the welcome speech told that Urdu is the means of communication between the people from various provinces and regions of Pakistan and India.

Gahwarah-e-Adab Chicago Holds Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq Commemorative Literary Seminar & Poetry Recitation Event

Chicago; December 4, 2010: A literary seminar and poetry recitation event (Mushairah) was held to commemorate and to pay tribute to Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq at a local banquet hall in Lombard, Illinois. A large number of people attended and enjoyed the traditional mushaira. The famous columnist Jawaid Riaz presented the first part of the program. Sheikh Rasheed recited the verses from Holy Quran and Masood Ali Khan presented Naat-e-Rasool (SAW). Click here for details

Gahwarah-e-Adab Philadelphia Holds Mushairah (Poetry Recitation)

Gahwarah-e-Adab Philadelphia held Mushairah (poetry recitation) event at the residence of Mr. Pervaiz Farooqui, Incharge Gahwarah-e-Adab Philadelphia which was attended by a cross-section of poetry-loving Pakistani community. The event was presided over by Mrs. Talat Isharat, a well-known poetess in Philadelphia. Click here for details
